Reported benefits

- Strengthens existing hair strands
- Improves scalp health. Its anti-inflammatory properties help soothe scalp irritations and conditions like dandruff, promoting a healthier scalp environment conducive to hair growth.
- Enhances shine and softness. Sweet almond oil smooths the hair cuticles, enhancing shine and softness. This makes it ideal for taming frizz and adding a luminous shine to dull hair.
- Prevents breakage. The natural emollients and nutrients in sweet almond oil strengthen the hair strands, reducing breakage and split ends, which is essential for maintaining long, healthy hair.
- Rich in vitamins and minerals. Packed with vitamins A, B, D, E, and various minerals, sweet almond oil nourishes the hair, improving its overall health and strength. Vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant, protects hair from environmental stressors.
How to add it to your conditioning routine
- 1
Wash your hair
Begin with clean, damp hair by washing it with your regular shampoo. This ensures that your hair and scalp are ready to absorb the almond oil's benefits.
- 2
Mix with your conditioner (optional)
In a bowl, mix a few drops of sweet almond oil (about 1 to 2 teaspoons) with your usual amount of hair conditioner. Adjust the amount based on the length and thickness of your hair; longer, thicker hair may need more oil.
- 3
Apply the mixture
Apply the mixture to your hair, focusing on the mid-lengths to the ends where hair tends to be drier and more damaged. Avoid applying too much directly to the scalp so it doesn't get overly oily.
- 4
Leave it on
Leave the mixture on your hair for about 3 to 5 minutes. For an intensive treatment, cover your hair with a shower cap and leave it on for up to 30 minutes.
- 5
Rinse thoroughly
Rinse with lukewarm water so no residue is left behind. A cold final rinse can help seal the hair cuticles, enhancing shine and smoothness.
- 6
Dry and style
Gently pat your hair dry with a towel and style as usual. You may notice an immediate improvement in your hair's texture and appearance.
02Calm puffy eyes & dark circles
Sweet almond oil's anti-inflammatory properties reportedly help reduce under-eye puffiness, while the vitamin E found in the oil can help lighten those pesky dark circles with regular use.
How to use it for puffy eyes and dark circles
- 1
Cleanse your face
Start with a clean face. Gently wash with your regular cleanser to remove any makeup, dirt, and impurities, making sure the under-eye area is clean and makeup-free.
- 2
Prepare the oil
Pour a small amount of sweet almond oil (just a few drops) into your palm or onto a fingertip. Room temperature is fine, or warm it slightly between your fingers for extra soothing effects.
- 3
Apply the oil
Using your ring finger, which naturally applies less pressure, gently tap the oil under your eyes, starting from the inner corner and moving outwards. Don't pull or stretch the skin; the area is very delicate.
- 4
Leave on overnight
For best results, apply at night before bed so the oil has plenty of time to absorb while you sleep.
- 5
Morning rinse
In the morning, gently rinse your face with lukewarm water and follow up with your regular skincare routine. Dab away any leftover oil with a soft, damp cloth.
03All-natural makeup remover
Almond oil can dissolve excess sebum and impurities, making it an effective and gentle cleanser for removing makeup and cleansing pores, all while treating your skin to a deeply moisturizing experience. (This is why it's actually a very common ingredient in many popular makeup removers!)
How to use it as a makeup remover (it's very easy)
- 1
Apply the oil
Put enough almond oil in your palm to cover your face, then gently massage it onto your face, focusing on your eyes or any other area with makeup.
- 2
Clean up
Dip a cotton ball into rosewater (or plain water) and gently remove the makeup.
04Use it as a daily moisturizer
If you weren't already aware, sweet almond oil is a phenomenal moisturizer (one of nature's best!). We highly recommend it as a daily all-around moisturizer to most, if not all, of our customers. What makes it so good?
- Lightweight and non-greasy. Unlike some heavier oils, sweet almond oil absorbs quickly into the skin, providing hydration without leaving a greasy residue. This makes it suitable for any time of day, under makeup, or before bed.
- Suitable for all skin types. It's gentle enough for all skin types, including sensitive skin, and unlikely to clog pores or cause breakouts, which is particularly beneficial for oily or acne-prone skin.
- Improves skin elasticity. Its emollient properties help improve skin elasticity, making the skin feel smoother and plumper. This helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
- Rich in essential nutrients. Sweet almond oil is packed with vitamins E and A, magnesium, and essential fatty acids. Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that helps protect the skin from environmental stressors, while the fatty acids help reinforce the skin's barrier, locking in moisture.
How to use it
- 1
Rub it in
Simply rub it in wherever you'd apply moisturizer. It works as both a facial and body moisturizer.
